A quiet pick
Random calm activity
Press once for a random NoCharge game, article, or tool. No personalization, weighting, or saved pick history.
Category: Play
Bottom line: One press returns one random item — a game to open, an article to read, or a tool to try. Equal probability for every item, no health claims, and nothing stored. If you do not like the pick, press again (or don't).
One press
A quiet pick
Press the button. If the result is not what you want, that is fine — there is no score for picking again.
How it works
The pool combines all published games with a selected set of reading links and three other tools. This build contains 33 entries. Each press draws a browser-generated random number between 0 and 1, multiplies it by the pool size, and rounds down to choose an entry.
Worked example
With a hypothetical four-entry pool, the intervals 0–0.25, 0.25–0.5, 0.5–0.75, and 0.75–1 choose entries one through four. A random value of 0.62 gives floor(0.62 × 4) = 2, which is the third entry because array positions start at zero.
Each entry has the same selection interval. Categories do not: a pool containing more games than tools will return games more often. Each press is a new draw, so the same item can appear twice in a row.
What it cannot do
- This is a random selection, not personalized advice about mood, health, difficulty, or available time.
- It does not sample every article and tool on the site; only the entries in this page's pool are eligible.
- No repeat-avoidance queue or saved history is used. Equal selection intervals do not guarantee an even distribution over a few presses.
- The browser's pseudorandom generator is suitable for casual discovery, not cryptographic draws, prizes, or audited lotteries.
FAQ
Is this a health recommendation?
No. It chooses at random among NoCharge games, articles, and tools. There is no claim about stress, focus, or any health outcome.
Is the shuffle fair?
Every item has equal probability on each press, with no weighting by genre or session. The result is a random pick, not a curation.
Does it write anything?
No. The selection stays in page memory. Reloading clears the displayed pick; this tool does not save a random seed or browsing history.
